DU Cutoff 2015 will be issued by the University of Delhi to delimit the number of candidates in the admission process which has already begun with the release of application form on 28 May 2015. Cutoff is the restricting factor which is applied to filter the applicants and choose the best lot of candidates for admission in various UG courses for session 2015-16. The cutoff will vary for each college and course. If the marks of the candidate in Class XII are less than the cutoff, he will not be selected for further admission process however if the marks are equal to or more than the cutoff, he will be sent for counselling process.
Candidates can check the DU Cutoff 2015 Score for each college and course on the official website of the university and participating colleges. The process of admission is fairly simple however since the competition is high, cutoff increases each year. Each college under the university will issue its own cutoff and candidates who qualify it will be able to get admission in the institute. Counselling will be done accordingly to allot the course. Some courses are like hot cakes and get filled immediately while some others are relatively less popular and cutoff of these courses is lower. Counselling and seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit DU cutoff score.
Higher the marks in class XII, better are the chances of getting allotment. Some of the factors that are considered in the decision of Cutoff of DU 2015 Admissions are – number of candidates, reservation norms, number of applications received, number of seats, and last year admission trends. Once the candidate is allotted a seat, he will be asked to get the documents verified and pay the fees. This will confirm his seat. Documents required for verification are:
- Class X mark sheet
- Class XII mark sheet
- Character Certificate
- Domicile
Two-three photographs
Once the 1st round of counselling is complete, a second round will be conducted to fill the remaining seats. However some of the best colleges and courses already get filled in the 1st round of counselling. Some of the colleges might conduct their own entrance examination so it becomes necessary to qualify and cross the cutoff to become eligible for the counselling and seat allotment round. They will issue their own DU Cutoff which must be crossed by the interested candidate.
